    Creativity during Collapse

I’m just on UpTrust this moment. Hello. What I’m discussing on the daily is how art and creativity may be useful during times of societal splintering and collapse. How can it be used to rally people, to coalesce on causes through imagery or form?...

I think that would definitely help! I think it'd both help make it much easier for our leaders to notice that their very lives are in danger, and help put pressure on them to change the situation....

    Do what Olympians Do

As an Olympian I know that mindset is key to which awesome athlete wins. Im concerned that most people are stuck in fear and anxiety about our collective future. We need to know and address the challenges, but keep focused on our collective desire for peace....

The concept of this app sounds promising. Do you think the internet can be a place for deep and meaningful conversations in this day and age?

I think you're onto something—that this would make a difference. I also think this could help harness collective intelligence to focus on where we can change things, which we dearly need....

who votes for Trump from a higher level of development on the integral scale? A friend of mine recently shared why he'd vote for trump (if he were voting in the USA) from what I'd say is a Teal or beyond point of view: Trump is a better transformational catalyst. If Harris wins, we as a society will go more back to sleep, and the overall consciousness and well-being of the world will go down.
Whether or not you agree, this is a good example of a "why" to vote for Trump that's unique, oriented toward the evolution of consciousness.

Yeah and I personally wouldn’t vote for it; I’d rather have change that occurs more gracefully from the inside out, but most of the time I don’t get to have that choice, but I do get the choice to see the in-my-face contrast as inspiration, or at least reinterpret it that way,...

What more do you want seeing in the world. Jordan just asked What do you want to see more of in the world.

    Here’s my quick response:

Want the change makers in the world, the people who are interested and engaging in the world of issues, where they see a wrong and dedicate their time and resources to right those wrongs (such as: environmental issues, politics, social issues, etc). My big wanting to see in the world is a shift in all these groups to refocus from what seems to be the norm of sound the alarm bells, stress us out with news of the wrongness (as they see it), as if the culprits will change because they have seen teh horrors of their ways. Would love to see this SHIFT to focusing on what is good, what can be done in the good light and highlighting those who are already doing good for change in this world. This shift would be amazing. And seeing in this exercise of writing - may not be that easy to share a vision for a positive future.

For example, with environmental groups searching for funding or new members or policy changing on capitol hill, to see their focus from negatives (what is real now) to focus on positives, if any happening now and what will be the positive outcome if we listen to this change maker (the vision of future if things were to go in their direction).

We lack a collective vision of a possible future of wild green grass, pastures, blue rivers and lakes, blue skies. The simple things of thriving ecologies and brining native species of plants back to our world. But it is as if we are all addicted to the sensationalism of the horrors of our reality.

WORDING this wanting is very challenging. Can see how easy it is to discuss problems and wanting to solve them, versus discussing solutions and enrolling others in seeing the possible future of goodness that motivates the change. This is in contrast to how the world seems to me. The groups who are active in policy change, eco change, social change, seem to chant the negative, ask us to look at the sad animals and the devastation and would love more of the focus on what good is happening and what could be the future if we stay the good course (the group, individual is promoting).

Curious of any opinions thoughts on the chat gpt version of this post: I want to see more change-makers—those deeply engaged in addressing the world’s issues, people who identify wrongs and dedicate their time and resources to making them right....

COVID Vaccines: is the cure is worse than the disease (these days)? I don’t get COVID vaccines anymore. I did the first round while we were still in lockdown.

I stand by the choice to get vaccinated then. We didn’t know what was happening, lots of people were dying, good statistics were hard to come by (good interpretations even harder), and the virus hadn’t mutated yet.

It wasn’t great for me: two shots separated by a month; 5.5 days after the first I got shingles (apparently thousands of other people also got at that exact time) and then after the 2nd I was sicker than I’ve almost ever been. It lasted about 2.5 days and then was VOOM instantly cleared up. It was weird and felt unnatural. But perhaps when I later got COVID, it would have been WAY worse, without having gotten the vaccine.

Now, I don’t believe it’s worth it. The experience of having COVID is way less. It’s less deadly. There’s not a chance of herd immunity. And I’ve got friends who have awful long COVID from the vaccine. I haven’t done all the research, and anyone who’s tried to tell me about the research has seemed stilted to one side or another that had me take their interpretations with a huge grain of salt.

This makes a lot of sense and I agree. I have a dream that UpTrust help us make moves in this regard, that we ca start to nudge our society to appreciate changing our minds and publicly apologizing, etc. But I’m not totally sure how to do that yet!...

Can we handle the truth? If UpTrust works the way it’s intended, it will make truth more accessible. But what percentage of the population currently has the capacity to face truth?

Perhaps alongside truth, the tech will make the skills for being with the truth more accessible too. And avoidance will come in for the assist when needed?

I love this quote, especially because it points to how it’s always a small group that starts the change. I tend to think that it takes a lot more people.
